Hôm thứ Bảy hàng chục ngàn người biểu tình đã tụ họp tại Quảng trường Độc Lập ở Kuala Lumpur, bất chấp lệnh cấm tụ họp ở đó.
Những người hoạt động tranh đấu nói Ủy Ban Bầu Cử của quốc gia này thiên vị và rằng liên minh cầm quyền của Thủ tướng Najib Razak, vẫn nắm quyền từ hơn 50 năm nay, sẽ nắm giữ một ưu thế không công bằng trong cuộc bầu cử có thể được tổ chức sớm ngay vào thượng tuần tháng Sáu.
